One option here is to make sure that everyone who posts on the mailing
list, we have some kind of rule of thumb i.e.

* Plain Text  for the content of e-mail (for the purpose of the archives)
* No top posting
* delete text replies that are not required
...
...
etc.

These are only some suggestions
