[xcat-user] Fedora 5 failing

After you get your node up, look in

/tmp/xcatpostscripts/*.log
/tmp/*.log
/root/*.log

for errors.

Also try running from the node
$XCATROOT/install/postscripts/updateflag and
$XCATROOT/install/postscripts/updateflag.awk name_of_mgmt_node.
