[xcat-user] rpower timeouts on BMC

Hi,
Trying to configure xcat-1.3 on x3655 (head node) and x3455 compute
nodes. I have it working to the point, where I can use rpower to power:
on and stat, as well as rbeacon. After the nodes are "rpowered" on, and
I try to rpower them off or even run stat, I get a timeout. All of the
BMCs have static IPs and are pingable when the nodes are powered on and
the systems have the most recent BIOS and BMC firmware.
/opt/xcat/etc# rpower bigmem stat
node1014: off
node1016: off
node1017: off
node1020: off
node1001: timeout
node1002: timeout
When the nodes are rpowered on they get the correct static IP address
and can see the DHCP server. TFTP will time out as I have not installed
the OS images as of yet. Could this have anything to do with rpower not
working properly?
I have included snippets of my relevant .tab files below.
site.tab setting for ipmi:
ipmimaxp 80
ipmitimeout 3
ipmiretries 5
ipmisdrcache yes
nodehm.tab
node1001
ipmi,ipmi,NA,ipmi,ipmi,conserver,NA,ipmi,rcons,pxe,bcm5700,NA,Y,ipmi,NA,19200
Also, I am confused about ipmi and mp.tab files.
If I am using ipmi, do I need mp.tab and mpa.tab files?
If I do need mp.tab and mpa.tab files, what is the correct syntax for
BMC: bmc?? versus rsa, asma, or bc. Will xcat recognize the entry:
bmc ??
ipmi.tab file ( i used IPs versus bmc host names, although hostnames
resolve in DNS)
node1001 172.29.101.1,USERID,PASSW0RD ("oh" = zero in PASSW0RD)
node1002 172.29.101.2,USERID,PASSW0RD
node1003 172.29.101.3,USERID,PASSW0RD
Any insight or where I need to look to resolve this issue would be great.
