Can you run:

strace conserver -o -O1 -d

And send the last 20 lines of the output?

Remove lock file first. Thanks.

locked"
Importance: High

Hi,

I removed "/var/lock/subsys/conserver", conserver did not report "locked"
any more, but conserver still could not be started (still Segmentation
fault).

I also tried the old version(8.1.7) of conserver from CSM package, and the
package with same version for SLES 10 (in xcat-dep). They could be started,
but seems not met xCAT's requirement.

Best Regards

Subject
conserver reports "conserver dead but subsys locked"

Hi,

I guess it's probably not an xCAT problem. But, it blocked my xCAT 2.0
testing. Does anyone know how to resolve this problem?

My environment is: P6 HE/RHEL 5.2 on server and nodes.

When I ran "/etc/init.d/conserver status", it reported:
"conserver dead but subsys locked"

And it cannot be started.
[root at c115m6xb02 ~]# /etc/init.d/conserver start
Starting conserver: [Sun Jun 15 00:02:03 2008] conserver (7076):
conserver.com version 8.1.16
[Sun Jun 15 00:02:03 2008] conserver (7076): started as `root' by `root'
/bin/bash: line 1: 7076 Segmentation fault conserver -o -O1 -d
                                                           [FAILED]
Any thought?

Best Regards
