[xcat-user] what happens to GPFS installation when node is
rebuilt?

You need to obtain a copy of /var/mmfs/gen/mmsdrfs from another node, create
the proper directory for it on the target node, then put that file in there
BEFORE you install the GPFS RPMs.
After you install the RPMs and copy over the portability layer (mmfslinux
mmfs26 lxtrace tracedev dumpconv) from another node , just type mmstartup
-a.
This has worked for reinstalling nodes that contain the GPFS filesystem IF
you do not hose filesystem drives on reinstall. You should backup, then
disconnect the storage, before you reinstall the node.
